Sep 8, 2010 - @TheFlipzPride because of it's awesomeness !! ;-) seriously though , It's HUGE in most former British colonies, INDIA , PAKISTAN , BANGLADESH , SRI LANKA, USA also has the largest following of PPV Cricket After India & England. Smaller British colony countries where it's popular are Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Zimbarbwe , &most all of the Caribbean countries. + England itself. It's a great game , these very basic videos are exactly that , they just give a minor overview.

Sep 8, 2010 - why is this 2nd most popular sports in the world?

Aug 28, 2010 - nice video!

Aug 23, 2010 - @rickrobinson28 Well said, they are both great games that stand on their own merits, there's room for both in the USA.

Aug 23, 2010 - I've played baseball for 22 years and just retired. I've never understood cricket or the laws of the game. This is the first attempt I've made to understand and of all the videos, this was the best explaining the laws. There is no need to compare a sport to any other sport just because you need a reference. I had a friend try to do that with cricket and baseball, these are nothing alike. Understand the sport for what it is and not how it compares to other sports, you will get confused!

Aug 20, 2010 - After watching this I have to say that American-style baseball is a definite improvement. They took the boring elements out of cricket and added a little more excitement making it more interesting for spectators.

Aug 19, 2010 - @aussiefox Turns out Baseball was invented from Rounders not Cricket. But I remember Sport Science put this thing to the test and a baseball player is way better. I believe it's "Sports Science: Baseball vs Cricket" or something along there. :) Yay cricket but i love baseball

Aug 19, 2010 - @OptimusTrajan Oo gotcha there, and I also found that Baseball was invented from Rounders, not Cricket.

Aug 10, 2010 - @IFistTHeInnocent Anything is boring if nobody cares. Caring is what makes things exciting, not the other way round. Example: Lady Gaga. She was boring until people started getting excited, and she will be boring again after people get tired of her.
IFistTHeInnocent Says:
Aug 9, 2010 - @ABH1297 I bet both cricket and baseball are terribly boring so nobody cares

Aug 8, 2010 - thank you. I am trying to learn the game and this video was a great synopsis of it.
aussiefox Says:
Aug 4, 2010 - @ABH1297 Oh i absolutely agree, a cricket player would have trouble playing baseball, if he'd never played before , just like manny did with cricket. What i am tryign to get people to realize is that just by promoting cricket , does not mean it's better then baseball, they are both great games ,while they have some overlap , thier different games that can both be appreciated for what they bring to the World of sports. And that we shouldn't hate or belittle just because we don't know.
ABH1297 Says:
Aug 4, 2010 - @aussiefox i bet a cricket player would hav trouble in baseball though
aussiefox Says:
Aug 4, 2010 - @ABH1297 you'd be surprised, google "manny ramirez cricket"

Jul 31, 2010 - @OptimusTrajan retarded baseball? I'm American and fucking hate baseball. This looks more intense than baseball..
qwerty10113 Says:
Jul 30, 2010 - @OptimusTrajan y would u choose baseball over this sport? and there is more running in this sport than in baseball...in fact you have to keep running between the 2 bases until you get out...a real test of stamina!
OptimusTrajan Says:
Jul 27, 2010 - @Xerxes4242 How? There's no base running, and the ball is only hit a few yards. This game looks like it was made up in some kids basement. I'm not trying to belittle the game, and it looks great for Britain and her former colonies (excluding the US), but I don't see why someone would choose to play this over baseball.
LilGuilty702 Says:
Jul 26, 2010 - i kinda get it i guess lol
Xerxes4242 Says:
Jul 25, 2010 - @OptimusTrajan This looks way more exciting than baseball.. I think I'd have to play it to understand it more though.
OptimusTrajan Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - @aussiefox No, there's base running.
aussiefox Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - @OptimusTrajan that's okay Cricket is not for everyone , hmm in baseball doesn't most of the action happen from catcher to pitcher , like in a little strip. ???
OptimusTrajan Says:
Jul 24, 2010 - I'm still not understanding this. It also looks quite boring as all the action seems to happen in a little strip. Its like retarded baseball. Why would any American play this?
qwerty10113 Says:
Jul 22, 2010 - @raindance74 welcome to cricket... I've been playing cricket for the past 15 years for my state team...i broke my fingers 8 times... It is still an awesome sport though!!
